Governor JB Pritzker has extended and modified the state’s Stay at Home Order through May 31.
The modified order will strengthen social distancing requirements while allowing residents flexibility and provide relief to non-essential businesses in the safest way possible.
Changes include:
🔹Outdoor recreation, including phased in re-opening of state parks, as well as fishing, boating, and golf with some restrictions.
🔹Greenhouses, garden centers and nurseries with social distancing requirements in place may re-open, as well as animal grooming services.
🔹Retail stores may reopen to fulfill phone and online orders for outside pickup and delivery.
🔹Face coverings for those ages 2 and up must be worn in public places where a six-foot distance cannot be maintained.
🔹Essential businesses and manufacturers must provide all employees who are not able to maintain a six-foot distance, and includes occupancy limits.
🔹Educational institutions may allow and set procedures for pickup of necessary supplies or student belongings. The process must follow public health guidelines.
